Judy Gao Couture is all about the modern woman who embodies elegance, sophistication and edge. Being a young couture brand, she offers a fresh, new take on eveningwear. Every piece is custom made in New Zealand using innovative techniques and craftsmanship. Every piece is thoughtfully designed so it can be integrated into your wardrobe and treasured for years to come.

THE DESIGNER

Judy is a self-taught designer who started sewing since the age of 13. This has given her an unrestricted vision and opportunity to develop her own unique techniques. She found her passion for Couture when she designed her own high school ball dress and now wants to share this passion with the world. In 2017, she set up a home studio where her dreams are becoming reality. The following year, she debuted a collection at NZ Fashion Week and competed on Project Runway NZ.

How To Measure

Here are some tips to take the most accurate measurements. It is recommended that you have a friend assist you or you do it in front of a mirror.

Bust: Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust and wrap it around your body, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Waist: Find the narrowest part of your waist, located above your belly button and below your rib cage.

Lower hip: Measure the fullest part of your lower body. It is below the natural hip line and around 24cm below the waistline.
