Hire Process & Policy

PROCESS

SELECT
Browse our collection of designs under the hire menu. Find the dress you love.
Check the dress measurements against your own. Fittings are available in our Epsom studio by appointment only.
 
DELIVERY
Your selected dress will be delivered to you 2 days before your event. Pickups are available from our Epsom studio by appointment.
Delivery is $30 for overnight courier. Please note, some gowns cannot be posted.
 
WEAR
Look extra glam at your event! Take heaps of photos and tag us on Instagram @judygaocouture
NOTE: Please treat the dresses like it is your own. Be extra mindful with delicate fabrics and long trains.
 
RETURN
The next business day after your event, place the dress back inside the pre-paid bag and hand it to your local NZ Post office attendant by 5pm. Drop-offs are at our Epsom studio, Monday 10am - 7pm.
Please make sure it is returned on time. Late fees will apply for late returns!

 

 

POLICY

RETURNS

Please make time to return the garments the next working day after your event, whether by post of drop-off.

LATE FEES

For each additional day the garment is not returned, there is a late fee of 10% of the hire price. After one week, the full hire price will be charged again.

ALTERATIONS

Any alterations must be done by our team and discussed beforehand.

DAMAGES

Please be mindful of embellished clutches or jewellery that may snag the material. Another tip would be to pick the garment up off the ground to avoid any rough surfaces.

We understand accidents may happen so please don’t hesitate to contact us ASAP if the garment was damaged in your care.

The following charges apply:

Large stains

$15

Extra dry cleaning

$30

Minor repair (eg. strap replacement, ripped seam)

$20

Major repair (eg. zip replacement, small rip in fabric)

$40

Damaged beyond wear

Full RRP

Any charges will be discussed with the hire before processing.

CANCELLATION

Bookings cannot be cancelled once processed so please choose carefully.

REFUNDS

We aim to provide the most accurate photos and measurements so there will be no refunds if the garment does not fit correctly on you. If you are unsure about sizing, style, fit, please book a fitting or email us beforehand info@judygao.co.nz and we can help you out with any information required.

Refunds will be given if the garments arrive damaged i.e. stained, torn, ripped. Please contact us and provide photo evidence of the damage on the same day of arrival.

How To Measure

Here are some tips to take the most accurate measurements. It is recommended that you have a friend assist you or you do it in front of a mirror.

Bust: Place one end of the tape measure at the fullest part of your bust and wrap it around your body, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Waist: Find the narrowest part of your waist, located above your belly button and below your rib cage.

Lower hip: Measure the fullest part of your lower body. It is below the natural hip line and around 24cm below the waistline.

Skirt length: Measure how long you want the skirt to be, starting from the waist. Include the height of your heels.
